RISEHAM · TERMS OF USE

The rules
of our world.

Riseham is a building and cooperation game on a map inspired by the real world. These rules govern your access to the service.

1. Who publishes Riseham?

Studio Ramel
Chemin de Cousson 6
1032 Romanel-sur-Lausanne
Switzerland
[email protected]

2. A game in development

Features are introduced gradually. The communities, economy and mobile app presented on the website describe the game's direction; their presentation does not guarantee immediate availability. Interruptions, fixes, balance changes or resets may be necessary during this phase. We announce significant changes on the website or through service messages.

Land, buildings, resources and usage rights in Riseham are virtual. They grant no ownership, occupancy or access rights to the real places represented. The map may contain approximations and is not a cadastral document.

3. Account and acceptance

Use an email address you lawfully control, or a Google or Apple identity when available. No Riseham password is required. Sign-in links are personal, single-use and valid for 15 minutes. Do not share them.

After your identity is verified, you must explicitly accept this version of the terms before entering the game. We keep the version and date of acceptance. The privacy policy separately explains how your data is processed; this step does not authorise marketing messages.

You must have legal capacity to accept these terms. If you are a minor, your legal representative's permission is required where applicable law requires it. Promptly report unauthorised access to your account.

4. Playing together, exclusively as humans

Only human beings may play, directly through the official graphical interface of the Riseham website or its mobile app when available. Every game action must be decided and performed by the person playing. Playing through direct requests to game services, an API, an unofficial client or any access that bypasses this interface is prohibited.

Fraud, cheating and attempted cheating are prohibited, as is the use of bots, software or AI agents, scripts, macros or any other means of automating game actions. This prohibition also applies when such tools operate the official graphical interface or are supervised by a human. It includes deliberate exploitation of vulnerabilities, manipulation of server exchanges and circumvention of protections or sanctions.

Any established breach of these prohibitions results in the affected accounts being banned under section 7, whether their holders have made purchases or not.

Respect other players and their rights. Harassment, threats, unlawful content, impersonation and spam are prohibited. Do not use the game to disclose private information about anyone or encourage trespassing at a real location.

Building, progression and community rules are explained in the game as they become available. Abandoned land with no resident inhabitants may become purchasable by another player after 30 consecutive days in that state. A resident's temporary absence on a mission is insufficient; reoccupation interrupts the period. This mechanic will be announced in the game when introduced.

5. Availability, shutdown and money spent

We take reasonable steps to operate the service, without guaranteeing uninterrupted access or freedom from bugs. The current prototype still stores progress in your browser: clearing its data or changing devices may lose that progress. The asset cache is not a saved-game backup.

Studio Ramel, as publisher of Riseham, reserves the right to suspend or permanently discontinue all or part of the game if problems or abuses compromise its operation, security, lawfulness or player protection. This may include serious technical incidents, widespread fraud or cheating, misuse or dangerous behaviour in the community. We inform players of the reasons and consequences and, where circumstances allow, before the decision takes effect. A security emergency or legal obligation may require immediate shutdown.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, such a shutdown or a ban for breaching these terms creates no contractual right to reimbursement of money already spent in the game or compensation for lost progress or virtual items. Players' mandatory legal rights remain fully applicable, including any legally required refund for services paid for but not provided. This clause does not override those rights.

The current website offers no purchases with real money. If paid offers are introduced, their prices and conditions, including shutdown and refund rules, will be presented before any order; these terms do not constitute a payment agreement.

6. Creations and content

Riseham's software, text and visuals belong to Studio Ramel or their respective rights holders. Maps and other third-party components remain subject to their licences and attributions. You have a personal right to use the game within these terms. Do not republish third-party content without the necessary rights.

7. Suspension, bans and leaving

Studio Ramel reserves the right to suspend an account or ban a player, including permanently, for breaching these terms, whether the player has paid or not. A purchase grants no exemption from game rules or immunity from sanctions. Breaches of the ban on fraud, cheating, attempted cheating, bots, agents or automation result in the ban described in section 4.

We may immediately suspend access as a precaution while investigating an incident to protect the game and its players. We communicate the reason for the sanction as far as our legal duties and service security allow. Players may request a review at [email protected]. The financial consequences of a ban are those in section 5, subject to applicable mandatory rights.

You may stop playing and request account closure at [email protected]. We will verify your identity proportionately before deletion.

8. Liability and applicable law

Development-stage limitations do not remove your mandatory rights. No clause excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. These terms are governed by Swiss law, subject to mandatory protections and competent jurisdictions applicable to your circumstances, particularly as a consumer.

9. Changes to these documents

A new version will be available here. When the applicable terms change, we will ask you to accept them before continuing to play. For questions, use the contact form.
